The PIC-01 Development Board demonstrates the capabilities of many of the 18-, 28- and 40-pin PIC16XXXX and PIC18XXXX devices. It can be used with many types of In-Cirucit Programmers / Debuggers (e.g. ICD2, PICkit2). Ideal platform for learning about PIC microcontrollers.

The kit includes PIC16F877A microcontroller. It is one of the most popular PIC micros, which features 8k flash program memory, 256 bytes of EEPROM data memory, 2 Comparators, 8 channels of 10-bit Analog-to-Digital (A/D) converter, 2 capture/compare/PWM functions, the synchronous serial port can be configured as either 3-wire Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI™) or the 2-wire Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C™) bus, a Parallel Slave Port and a Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (USART). All of these features make it ideal for beginners and more advanced users.

R8C/13 Development Board

The R8C/13 Development Board integrates low pin count but powerful R8C/13 microcontroller. It can be programmed through RS232 and USB, or can be used with Renesas E8 hardware debugger through dedicated E8 compatible connector.

The kit includes R5f21134DFP microcontroller. It is a member of still growing Renesas R8C family, and features 16kB of embedded flash program memory, 2kB bytes of data flash memory, and 1kB of RAM, 12 channels of 10-bit Analog-to-Digital (A/D) converter and 2x Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (UART). All of these features make it ideal for beginners and more advanced users. Renesas also provides free development tools, including good free C compiler.

The LPC2148 Development Board integrates LPC2148 microcontroller. It can be programmed through RS232 and USB, or can work with JTAG through dedicated 20-pin compatible connector.

The kit includes Philips/NXP LPC2148 microcontroller. It has ARM7TDMI-S processor core with 512kB flash, 32kB RAM, full-speed USB 2.0 core, 14 channels of 10-bit Analog-to-Digital (A/D) converter , 1 Digital-to-Analog (D/A) and 2x Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (UART), 2x Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI™), 2x Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C™) bus and 6-channel PWM.
